Meridian Health to hold 23rd Annual Health Care Perspectives Luncheon on May 9

Al Zager, Esq., of Zager Fuchs, P.C., chairs this educational forum for hundreds of local business leaders to learn about health care issues that have an impact on their companies and communities. 

This year's keynote address is titled “Lessons Learned from the Roll-Out of Health Reform in Massachusetts and the Nation, and will be presented by Jon Kingsdale, Ph.D., managing director and co-founder of Wakely Consulting Group in Boston. This discussion will provide insight on the challenges and opportunities for employers, opportunities and threats for the health care systems, and new consumer options on the exchange.

Kingsdale founded the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority, an independent authority established in 2006 under Massachusetts’ landmark health reform legislation.  He has worked over the past three decades on developing a broad range of innovations in health care financing. As a senior vice president at Tufts Health Plan, he developed new products, provider networks and provider reimbursement arrangements for commercial, Medicaid and Medicare populations. In 2013, he was named to “Health Market’s” Top 10 “The Hill’s” Top 100 list of “People to Watch” for his work on helping states to implement the ACA.
