Sky Blue FC Women’s Soccer players visit K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital

Sky Blue FC soccer players, Jill Loyden and Ashley Nick visited K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Wednesday, to spend the afternoon with patients.

Eager and excited, the players visited a number of children and their families in their rooms. The patients’ faces lit up with cheerful smiles as Jill and Ashley talked with them and showed their silly and outgoing personalities.  The players and patients talked about the recent World Cup, drew hand puppets, played with temporary tattoos, and even sang songs.

Meridian Health is the title sponsor for Sky Blue FC for the 2014 season. “We are very fortunate to be able to partner with such a reputable health care organization,” Sky Blue FC president and general manager Tony Novo said. “Meridian Health has consistently been rated one of the top performing health systems in New Jersey, and we are excited to be able to provide our players with high-quality treatment through Meridian’s staff.”
