Women’s Heart Fund Spring Luncheon Held at Navesink Country Club

The Women’s Heart Fund Spring Luncheon was attended by more than 150 attendees at the Navesink Country Club in Middletown, NJ.  All the money raised at the event was to support the new CardioVascular Intensive Care Unit at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, part of Meridian Health.  This state-of-the-art project will provide leading-edge technologies for some of the most critically ill patients, ensuring that they receive the finest quality health care in a private, healing environment.

This year’s luncheon was co-chaired by Marybeth Hershkowitz and Vita Kolber and the committee included Patty Micale chair of the Women’s Heart Fund Board, Barbara Brager and Joyce Sykoff. Highlights of the luncheon included a buffet brunch, several boutiques with a variety of offerings, and a jewelry box raffle with assorted prizes donated by the boutiques.

The Women’s Heart Fund’s mission is to educate people in Monmouth and Ocean counties about the importance of heart health and to raise funds for heart programs, services, and technology at Meridian Health.  Each year, the Women’s Heart Fund board selects and supports one cardiac program, service, or technology provided by Meridian Health.
