Danny Clayton Named Volunteer Of The Month At Ocean Medical Center

Last month, Ocean Medical Center, in Brick, N.J., named Wall High School senior, Danny Clayton, their Volunteer of the Month for February 2014. Danny was chosen because of his courage and willingness to try new things. Danny started volunteering at Ocean Medical Center, on Sept 14th, 2011, working in the dish room for the Food and Nutrition Department. Danny took tremendous pride in ensuring that all utensils, dishes, and glasses were cleaned perfectly for hospital patients and guests.

After volunteering approximately 1,972 hours, at Ocean Medical Center, Danny felt he was ready to try a new adventure and explore other areas of the healthcare industry.  In February of 2014, he began volunteering at Meridian Subacute Rehab at Wall, where his new responsibilities include generating evening event sheets for patients, creating admission patient bags, and filing. Although Ocean Medical Center is sad to see Danny leave, they know Meridian has gained an exceptional and dedicated volunteer.
