Let us Know: Which Township Roads Need Attention?

Question of the week

Ramshorn Drive residents will have a smoother ride from home later this year, as the Township Committee is committed to a resurfacing project that likely will start in July.

The project will not stress the municipal budget; although a bond ordinance is necessary to get the work started, state grant monies will pay off the bond. When complete, a 1/2-mile stretch of Ramshorn Drive will be resurfaced, from Lakewood Road to Allen Way.

The impending project has us thinking: What other roads need attention? Which streets would you like to see repaved? Potholes filled? Bumpy pavement smoothed over?

West Chicago Avenue between Old Mill Rd and Rt 71. Also if the GTwp can't do it right away at least paint a double yellow lines down the center to prevent speeders passing those abiding by the 35 mph limit. Also Twp should consider lowering speed limit to 25 mph just like Ocean Rd in SLP. This is a residential street that serves as a cut through street at 45 mph by a lot of people.

Without a doubt Pierce Street between Monmouth Blvd. and Lincoln Ave
