On Monday, March 24th, 2014, New Jersey Assemblyman Sean T. Kean (R) from District 30 made a special visit to Old Mill Elementary School’s 4th graders to give a special presentation about “How A Bill Becomes A Law In New Jersey”. Assemblyman Kean works part time, in the State Assembly, as a legislature, and is also a private practice attorney.
After Assemblyman Kean’s presentation concluded, he encouraged students to ask questions. The students were very eager to participate and asked dozens of interesting and thought provoking questions. Assemblyman Kean was happy to answer all of their queries and participated in a group picture before leaving for his next engagement. Before he left, however, he provided the children with a student’s guide to the legislative process to help them better understand how government functions.
