Asbury Park Woman Jailed After Traffic Stop On Parkway

Woman was wanted on Florida arrest warrant

An Asbury Park woman who was wanted for crimes in Florida was arrested and jailed Thursday after a traffic stop on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 98.

Lashawnda  D. Wright, 33, was taken to the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $100,000 bail after being stopped by a State Police Trooper on the southbound Parkway at milepost 97.5, according to the arrest warrant.

Wright was still jailed on Friday, according to jail records.

Wright was wanted on a Holmes County, Fla., warrant for uttering a forged instrument, according to the arrest warrant.
