Bay Head Woman Arrested After 3-Car Collision

Police also report a bevy of drunken driving, drug arrests over the weekend

A three-car collision on Route 138 Monday sent four people to the hospital and ended with an arrest for drunken driving, police said.

Alexandra D. Kelly, 21, of Bay Head, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and assault with auto after causing the pile-up on the eastbound side of the state highway near the Good Sports facility between Allenwood Road and Route 18, Sgt. Pete Lokerson said.

Kelly was driving a Dodge pickup truck eastbound around 6:40 p.m. when she struck the rear of a vehicle, pushing it into two other cars. Four people, whose names were not released, were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with minor injuries, Lokerson said.

Route 138 at Allenwood Road was shut for about an hour. The Glendola Fire Company also responded. Patrolman Dan Mason was the arresting officer, Lokerson said.

Ryan Andrews, 25, of Jackson was arrested and charged by Patrolman Miles Shanklin with driving while intoxicated around 1:30 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Route 138, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said.

Patricia Moody, 25, of Lakewood was arrested on a warrant out of Brick Township following a traffic stop on Route 35 around 12:45 a.m. Sunday. Moody was released after posting bail, Sgt. Kenneth Brown said.

Andrew Koren, 24, of  Toms River was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 34 around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Koren was released with a court date, Brown said.

Gerald Davis, 36, of Point Pleasant, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 34 around 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Patrolman Ed Lister was the arresting officer, Brown said.

Collin Lewis-Druz, 18, of Manasquan and George A. Mapp III, also 18, of Brielle were arrested and charged with being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance following a traffic stop on Route 35 on Sunday around 10:00 p.m., Lancellotti said.

Druz was also charged with driving while intoxicated. Patrolman James Cadigan was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.

Christina Torsiello, 42, of Howell, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated around 1:00 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Allenwood Road. Patrolman Miles Shanklin was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.

A 16-year-old juvenile from Manasquan was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana by Patrolman Miles Shanklin following an investigation of a report of a suspicious vehicle on Route 35 around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Brown said. The name of the youth was not released.

Stephen Stefanski, 48, of Toms River was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated around 9:00 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on Route 34. Detective Sean O’Halloran was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.
