Belmar Police Arrest Local Man for Eluding, Resisting Arrest
Asbury Park man still jailed on Tuesday, jail records say.
An Asbury Park man was jailed after police said he fled from a traffic stop in Belmar, according to an arrest warrant.
Frank C. Burford, 52, was charged with eluding and resisting arrest following in incident in town on Oct. 10, the warrant said.
Burford failed to stop his vehicle and fled when Patrolman Michael Allen attempted to stop him. Burford the resisted arrest after police caught up, according to the warrant.

Burford was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $30,000 bail, the warrant says.
Burford was still listed as an inmate late Tuesday, according to jail records.
