Brick Man Suffers Severe Injuries After Motorcycle Crash

Anyone with information on the Friday accident is asked to call police

A Brick man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle struck an SUV on Old Bridge Road Friday night, police said.

Steven Hines, 33, hit an SUV driven by Mary Arnold, 60, of Brielle, around 8 p.m. Hines’ injuries were severe, but police did not provide detail. Scanner reports from Friday reported Hines’ leg for some time was trapped under the SUV.

Hines was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, by Wall Community First Aid and MONOC paramedics. Brielle Police, Brielle First Aid and the South Wall Fire Department also responded, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said.

The collision, details of which were not released Saturday, is under investigation by Sgt. Chad Clark and Patrolan Miles Shanklin. Anyone with information is asked to contact either officer at (732) 449-4500.
