Brielle Man Charged With Drunken Driving, Drug Possession

Arrest follows traffic stop on Route 70 Wednesday

A Brielle man was arrested and charged with drunken driving and minor drug possession Wednesday night, police said.

Alexander S. Thomas, 27, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop on Route 70 around 10 pm. Patrolman Miles Shanklin was the arresting officer, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said.
