, father of 2-year-old Tierra Morgan-Glover, on Monday was indicted on first-degree murder charges for the who was late last year, authorities said.
Morgan, 27, whose last known address was in Eatontown, was also indicted on third-degree interference with custody and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child charges, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
Morgan faces a maximum of five years in prison if convicted of the custody charge; 10 years on the endangerment charge and life in prison on the murder charge, since Tierra was less than 14 years old at the time of her death, according to the Prosecutor's Office.
Morgan is in the Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $10 million bail and $200,000 stemming from the Ocean County charges, the Prosecutor's Office said.
Tierra Morgan-Glover was found by a group of teenagers submerged in a portion of the Shark River below Schoolhouse Road on Nov. 22. She was reported missing the day before.
The events started a for her father, ending Nov. 29 in San Diego, Calif., when U.S. Marshals arrested Morgan at a relative's home.
Morgan had taken the girl out on an agreed-upon visitation on Nov. 21. When he failed to bring the child back to her Lakehurst home, her mother contacted authorities. A two-county search began, the Prosecutor's Office said.
Tierra was found strapped to her car seat face down in the shallow water. and that she was alive before the girl was thrown into the river.
