Fire Destroys Bradley Beach Garage

Fire occurred at McCabe Avenue

The Bradley Beach Police, Fire Department and First aid were dispatched to a working garage fire at the rear of 217 McCabe Avenue on Friday.

The fire occurred around 4 p.m. and mutual aid from Avon, Neptune City, Neptune and Ocean Grove was requested to extinguish it.

The Neptune City Fire Department attacked the fire from the La Reine Avenue side while Bradley Beach firefighters worked to contain it.

The garage suffered major damage and it also spread to some surrounding structures, causing additional damage.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Bradley Beach Police, Fire Department and the Monmouth County Fire Marshall's Office.
