Four Wall Residents Arrested in Local Robbery

Police accuse the four of robbing two juveniles

Four Wall residents were charged in a burglary that victimized two juveniles, according to the following report from Wall police.

"On Saturday, at approximately 9:00 p.m., it was reported to Wall Township Police Department (WTPD) that an alleged robbery occurred earlier in the evening at 1717 I Street. As a result of the investigation, fourWall Township residents were arrested.

Kyle J. DiBenedetto, 18, Wall Township, is charged with two counts of second degree Robbery.

Amber M. DiBenedetto, 20, Wall Township, is charged with one count of second degree Robbery. 

Cody R. Clancy, 19, Wall Township, is charged with two counts of second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 

Nolan T. Dickson, 19, Wall Township, is charged with one count of second degree Robbery and one count of second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 

An investigation by the WTPD revealed two juveniles arrived at the DiBenedetto residence for a pre-arranged meeting around 8 p.m. on January 18, where they were confronted and robbed by Kyle DiBenedetto, Amber DiBenedetto, Clancy and Dickson. During the course of the robbery both juveniles were assaulted and received minor injuries. However, they refused medical treatment.

Kyle DiBenedetto is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township, on $100,000 bail, with no ten percent, as set by Wall Township Municipal Court Judge Joseph F. DeFino.

 Amber DiBenedetto is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township, on $50,000 bail, with no ten percent, as set by Wall Township Municipal Court Judge Joseph F. DeFino.

Clancy is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township, on $100,000 bail, with no ten percent, as set by Wall Township Municipal Court Judge Joseph F. DeFino.

Dickson is currently being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold Township, on $100,000 bail, with no ten percent, as set by Wall Township Municipal Court Judge Joseph F. DeFino.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the two lead detectives on the case, Det. Christopher Scerbo and Det. Elio Scarpa of the Wall Township Police Department. They can be reached at 732-449-4500."

My guess is that the two juvies were in and around within the same age bracket, but probably not up to any good, either (pre-arranged meeting???). There is also little doubt in my mind that drug use played a key role in the motives behind this little event. Play with fire, you get burned. And, "I" Street? Yes, West Belmar. Not completely surprised at that. You kids need to straighten up and fly right before it's really too late.
