Freehold Woman Arrested on Drunken Driving Charge

Woman drove off the road and struck a utility pole, police say

A Freehold woman was stopped by police on northbound Route 34 near the Allenwood Circle around 12:41 p.m. Tuesday while she was traveling on the shoulder with a badly damaged tire, police said.

Cheryll Mueller, 39, drove off the road and scraped a utility pole at the circle, Sgt. Patrick Connor said. Mueller was stopped just north of the circle and arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, Connor said.
