Garbage Pickup Resumes Thursday

Recycling centers to run every day

Regular trash pickup will resume Thursday and recycling centers will be open every day for longer hours to accommodate the huge amount of debris created in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the Office of Emergency Management said late Wednesday.

The recycling centers at the South Wall Little League Complex on Tiltons Corner Roadn and the North Wall Little League Complex on Monmouth Boulevard will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., accepting clean storm brush and vegetation left from the storm, according to a release.

Regular trash pickup will resume Thursday. Household trash must be bagged and not exceed the 50-pound weight limit. Brush and leaf pickup will resume its regular schedule too, the release says.
