Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint

Gulf station at Route 35 and Allaire Road hit early this morning

The Gulf gas station at Route 35 and Allaire road was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning and police are asking for help to catch the thief.

A 9-1-1- call was receieved about 5:47 a.m. Monday, Sgt. Joseph Wilbert said. An attendant reported that a man, dressed in dark clothing, approached him with a handgun and demanded money, Wilbert said.

The attendant gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the thief left on foot, Wilbert said.

The thief is described as a black man, about 6-feet tall and wearing dark clothing. He is armed, Wilbert said.
