Habel Also Cleared in Alleged Cover-Up of Child Molestation

But Habel still facing 17-count indictment including allegations of mortgage fraud and defrauding district

Former Wall Schools Superintendent James F. Habel has been cleared by a grand jury of an alleged cover-up of accusations of child molestation in the Wall Township school district, according to the Asbury Park Press.

This is in addition to the same charge dropped in connection with Sandra Brower, Habel's former assistant superintendent who then went on to work as Lacey Schools Superintendent, as Patch reported Monday.

Habel, who has since moved out of Point Pleasant Borough where he was living for at least part of the time he served as Wall superintendent, is still facing a separate 17 count indictment alleging mortgage fraud and defrauding the school district.
