Howell Man Arrested After Report Of Suspicious Person

Several also arrested for drunken driving and other offenses

A report of a suspicious person resulted in the arrest of a Howell man while numerous drivers were charged with drunk driving during a checkpoint held in town Friday, police said.

Michael Noodt, 41, was arrested and charged with an active warrant from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department for failure to pay child support following a report of a suspicious person at the New Bedford Road apartment complex at 2028 New Bedford Rd. around 11:52 p.m. Friday, Sgt. Chad Clark said. Noodt was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department in lieu of cash bail, Clark said.

Melissa L. Thompson, 39, of Point Pleasant, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving following a traffic stop on Route 70 near Riverview Drive around 8:52 p.m. Friday.  Patrolman Orin McKay Jr., was the arresting officer, Clark said.

A Monmouth County DWI  Task Force Roadblock occurred on Route 34 near Lakewood Road from 11 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Six were arrested, Clark said. They were:

  • Martin Goulet, 55 of Point Pleasant, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Patrolman Sean Duggan. 
  • Dan Passeri, 56, of Toms River, was arrested on an active warrant for contempt of court out of Little Falls, New Jersey. Passeri was processed and released after posting full cash bail.
  • David M. Callazo, 20, of Monroe, was arrested and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. Detective Sean O’Halloran was the arresting officer.
  • Robert D. Coffey, 21, of East Brunswick, was arrested and charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana.  Detective Sean O’Halloran was the arresting officer.
  • Andrew Lardieri, 23, of Sayerville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.  Detective Sean O’Halloran was the arresting officer.
  • William R. Gray, 25, of Howell Township, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Detective Dan Mason.
