Howell Resident Accused of Sexual Contact With a Child

Alleged incident involved 3-year-old

A 19-year-old Howell Township resident was charged with aggravated sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child after the Howell Police Department responded to a call earlier this week. 

According to Capt. Andy Kudrick officers responded to the call at 3:30 on Sunday morning for the reported sexual assault of a 3-year-old child. Ptl. Daniel Murphy was told at the time that the reporting party believed their daughter was sexually assaulted by his sister's boyfriend.

The suspect was identified as Maksim Michlich who was taken to police headquarters where he was questioned by Detectives Anthony Romano and Janet Benitez.

After being charged with aggravated sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child Michlich was taken to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $225,000 bail.
