Local Man Arrested For Shoplifting From Kmart

Point Pleasant man identified from video

A Point Pleasant man was arrested and charged with shoplifting after taking about $600 in electronics from a Route 35 Kmart, police said Friday.

Kevin Kelly, 40, was arrested Friday and charged with the Feb. 14 crime, which was caught on the store’s surveillance video. Patrolman Chris Lisewski was able to identify Kelly from the video, Sgt. Kenneth Brown said.

Also, three area residents were arrested on drug charges following two separate traffic stops on Thursday, police said.

Stephanie Rice, 21, and Nicholas Hoff, 22, both of West Keansburg, were arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 34 near the Howell boundary around 9 p.m. Patrolman James Cadigan was the arresting officer, Sgt. Joseph Wilbert said.

Raymond Coletti, 18, of Pine Beach was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 35 near Wall Church road around 11 p.m. Patrolman Frank Greco was the arresting officer, Wilbert said.

Now if it would have happened in Brick, I would say it was because there is noone in the store to pay! And a lot of times, there isn't!

It's funny bc I just caught him like less than a month ago for stealing from mynk mart right down the road. Can't wait to see him in court :)

Don't do it. The Patch just wants others to do its job. The Patch reporter was moved to the HowellRead More Patch. Wall no longer has a reporter specifically assigned to our town. No longer do we have a reporter attending meetings and reporting on the important news relating to Wall.
