Man Hit By Car On Route 35

Brielle resident suffers non-life-threatening injuries

A Brielle resident was sent to the hospital after being struck by a car on Route 35 Thursday afternoon, police said.

The man, whose name was not released by police, was crossing Route 35 near the Brooke 35 Plaza when he was struck by a car traveling northbound on the state highway, Sgt. Patrick Connor said.

Lynn Krohn, of Point Pleasant, was the driver of the car that struck the man around 3:35 p.m., was not faulted in the accident, Connor said.

The pedestrian was taken by Wall EMS to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with non-life-threatening injuries, Connor said. Sgt. Chad Clark is investigating, he said.
