Man Killed In ATV Accident Named

Tyler M. Bekier died after his ATV struck a tree

Police have identified the man killed Monday in an ATV accident as Tyler M. Bekier, 18, of Bradley Beach.

Bekier was traveling with David P. Foster Jr., 19, of Neptune, on the rear of the vehicle on  Watson Road between Monmouth Boulevard and Brighton Avenue when Bekier lost control and the ATV left the road, went airborne and struck a tree around 5:30 p.m., according to a release from Sgt. Chad Clark.

Both men were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, by Wall Township First Aid and MONOC paramedics, Clark said.

Bekier was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Foster is in stable condition, Clark said.

The crash is under investigation by the Wall Township Police Department, Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team. (S.C.A.R.T.), Clark said.
