Wall Police on Tuesday released more grocery store surveillance photos in connection with another purse snatching — the fourth such incident since the end of last month.

An older woman shopping at the A & P store on Route 35 had her purse stolen from an unattended shopping cart on Sunday between 2:30 and 3 p.m., Lt. Walter Pomphrey said.

The women pictured in the surveillance photos are wanted for questioning by the Wall police in connection with the crime, Pomphrey said.

There was one purse theft at the ShopRite on June 30, July 1, and July 2. Thieves were back on Sunday at ShopRite where an attempted snatching occurred and later in the afternoon at A & P, Pomphrey said.

"It's a crime of opportunity,'' Pomphrey said.

Anyone who can identify the women in the photos is asked to call Wall Township Police detectives at (732) 449-4800 or Detective Sean O'Halloran at (732) 449-4500 x1146. All calls will be kept confidential, Pomphrey said.
