Neptune Man Charged With DWI In Rollover Accident

A 43-year-old Neptune man was charged with drunken driving after a rollover accident on Route 138 Saturday afternoon, police said.

The man, who police did not identify until the family can be notified of his injuries, was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was also charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain lane after his vehicle left the road near Brinley Road around 4:30 p.m., according to a release from Sgt. Chad Clark.

The man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with moderate injuries by Wall Township First Aid and MONOC paramedics. The Glendola Fire Department also responded, Clark said.

Patrolman Emmett Idzahl was the arresting officer, Clark said.
