Neptune Man Jailed For Shoplifting From Kmart

Arrest warrant says man took DVD players from Route 35 retailer

A Neptune man is was jailed Tuesday for stealing electronics from the Route 35 Kmart, according to an arrest warrant.

Rodney Briggs, 37, was arrested and charged with stealing three DVD players and trying to sell them, according to the warrant.

Briggs was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Briggs is also being held on $100,000 bail from Monmouth County Superior court for a theft charge, according to jail records.
