New York Man Charged With Sex Abuse In Belmar

Man was in charge of a teenager who he assaulted, court documents say.

A New York man has been charged by Belmar Police with the sexual abuse of a minor, according to court documents. 

Alberto Santizo, 37, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., was indicted Monday on sexual assault charges, according to the two-count indictment.

Santizo was charged on with criminal sexual contact on a minor who was between 16 and 18 years old, according to the indictment. The incident occurred on Aug. 6, the indictment says.

Santizo also was charged with endangering the welfare of a child for the Aug. 6 incident, when Santizo was legally responsible for the child, according to the indictment.

No other information was immediately available from the indictment, which was handed up Monday. Santizo was not listed as jailed in the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, late Monday.
