A Newark man was arrested and charged with heroin possession over the weekend, according to an arrest warrant.
Miguel Ramirez, 38, was arrested and charged Saturday with first degree heroin possession with the intent to distribute, according to the warrant. Police found Ramirez was in possession of 9.3 ounces of heroin, the warrant says.
Ramirez was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to the warrant.
