One Arrested, One Sought In Cash Theft

Pair stole cash and brandished a knife, police say. One is still sought.

A Wall Township man was arrested after stealing cash and brandishing a knife, while his accomplice is still being sought by police, authorities said.

Keith Moore, 43, of Justin Circle, was arrested and charged after police responded to the Collingswood Circle area for a report of a theft of cash around 11:41 a.m. Wednesday, Sgt. Joseph Wilbert said.

As patrols approached it was reported that Moore brandished a knife and fled in the area of the Mews at Collingwood Park, where Moore was arrested a short time later, Wilbert said.

Moore was charged with third degree conspiracy to commit burglary, fourth degree conspiracy to commit theft, third degree making terroristic threats, fourth degree unlawful possession of a knife and fourth degree obstruction, Wilbert said.

Moore was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $23,000 bail, Wilbert said.

Latoya Selena Council, 31, also of Justin Circle was identified as Moore’s accomplice. Council was charged with third degree burglary and fourth degree theft. She is still being sought by Wall Township Police, Wilbert said.

Council is known to frequent the Mews, Asbury Park and Philadelphia. Following the incident yesterday, she took a cab from the Mews to Asbury Park, Wilbert said.

The case is being investigated by Detective Daniel Mason, Wilbert said.
