Bill's Work Clothes burglarized on Tuesday

Two Wall men were arrested and charged following a break-in at a Route 34 retailer, police said.

Vincent Petrucelli, 20, of Shadowbrook Drive and Christopher Hayes, 19, of Sea Girt Ave., were arrested and charged in connection with the Tuesday night burglary of Bill’s Work Clothes, 2369 Route 34, Lt. Walter Pomphrey said.

Police arrived at the clothing retailer around 9:45 p.m. after an alarm at the store had been tripped, alerting authorities. Officers spotted a black pickup truck in the lot and a man fleeing into the woods behind the store. More police arrived, along with a K-9 unit. A search to Ramshorn Drive turned up empty, Pomphrey said.
