Pair of Area Men Jailed in Separate Incidents Saturday

Two area men were jailed Saturday in separate outstanding warrant arrests, police said.

Damien E. Davis, 30, of Lake Como, was arrested and charged with heroin possession and an outstanding Intensive Supevision Program warrant out of Trenton on Saturday around 9:35 p.m following a traffic stop on Route 35, Sgt. Todd Czech said.

Davis was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $10,000 bail, Czech said.

Charles A. Bowers, 45, of Wall was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and contempt of court following a noise complaint investigation at the Rodeway Motel on Route 35 around 11:10 p.m, Czech said.

Bowers jumped out a window in his hotel room and fled from police. He was later found near the motel. Bowers was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $3,000 bail, Czech said.
