Update: Minor Injuries for Plane Crash at Wall Executive Airport

Update:
A pilot walked away from a plane crash with minor injuries at Monmouth Executive Airport.

Wall Police have not released the pilot's name and crash cause is still under investigation.

At 2:25 p.m. Wall police learned of the crash and responded to the airport, using witness reports to locate the crash site on the campus.

The pilot was treated at the scene and then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The plane was a single engine one that tows banners, police said.

Wall Police released the following statement on the crash:
"On July 26, at 1425 Hrs the Wall Township Police Department received a call of an airplane crash at the  Monmouth Executive Airport, which is located in the Township. Upon the arrival of patrol units they were able to locate the crash site after speaking with witnesses and the pilot who was able to walk away from the crash.

Original post: Wall Police have confirmed a plane crash occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. at Wall Airport, and an emergency response is underway.

A pilot is reportedly the only occupant of the plane, and local emergency responders as well as state investigators are examining.

The Route 34 campus of the Monmouth Executive Airport has multiple runways, with take-offs and landings of planes that tow promotional banners, among other activity.

Police did not confirm whether the plane was taking off or landing, nor did they release further details about the crash and the plane's occupant.
