Point Pleasant Man Charged With Heroin Possession

Man remained in jail Tuesday following first appearance

A Point Pleasant man was arrested and charged with heroin possession over the weekend, police said.

Nicholas R. Ippolito, 21, of Ivy Road, was arrested and charged Feb. 2 by Wall Police for being under the influence of a controlled, dangerous substance and possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to arrest warrants.

Ippolito was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $37,000 bail.

Ippolito made his first appearance before a judge to face the charges on Feb. 5, according to the warrant. Ippolito remained in jail late Tuesday, according to jail records.
