Police: Belmar Motorist Had Ounce of Cocaine
Man being held in Monmouth jail after traffic stop
A Belmar man is being held in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on drug charges after a traffic stop Thursday.
Wall Patrolman Miles Shanklin stopped Justin P. Robinson, 26, on Route 35, near its intersection with 18th Avenue, after observing Robinson commit several violations, Sgt. Chad Clark said. The Belmar man was seen talking on a cell phone without a hands-free device and also was not wearing a seatbelt, Clark said.
Upon subsequent investigation, Clark said the patrolman discovered one ounce of cocaine in Robinson's car.
