Police Looking For Man In Morning Home Invasion

Man entered a Lewis Court home Wednesday morning while resident was home

Police are looking for a man who broke into a Lewis Court home Wednesday morning and fled when confronted by a resident of the house.

The incident happened shortly before 11 am. The woman resident, on the second floor of the house, heard someone trying to open a rear sliding glass door. She went into the kitchen to find an unknown man, who ran out the back, scaled a fence and ran in a westerly direction toward Bailey's Corner Road, Sgt. Erik Ertle said.

Police scoured the area with a K-9 unit but came up empty. Dogs tracked the suspect north on Bailey's Corner Road toward 18th Avenue. Lewis Court is a cul-du-sac between Allaire Road and 18th Avenue, Ertle said.
