Police: Two Drunken Drivers Arrested After Separate Collisions

Pair arrested following separate incidents over the weekend.

Two local men were arrested and charged with drunken driving following separate traffic collisions over the weekend, police said.

Bruce S. Krezonis, 60, of Neptune was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following an investigation into a Sept. 20 crash on Route 138 near Club Drive around 8:05 p.m., Sgt. Steven Wolter said.

Krezonis was driving his car eastbound on the westbound lanes of the state highway when he struck another vehicle, Wolter said.

No other information about the second car its operator or passengers was immediately available.

Krezonis’ vehicle was impounded and towed from the scene and Krezonis was taken into custody, Wolter said.

James E. Barry Jr., 40, of Howell was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following an accident on Route 34 and Wyckoff Road around 12:13 a.m. Sept. 21, Wolter said.

Wolter, in a release, gave no other information about the accident. Barry was released after he was charged, Wolter said.
