Police: Wall Township Woman Stabbed Someone With Kitchen Knife

Weapons charges, aggravated assault for 54-year-old township woman.

A Wall Township woman was arrested and charged with a number of weapons violations and aggravated assault after she stabbed someone in the chest with a large kitchen knife, police said.

Linda J. Sopko, 54, of Barbee Lane, was arrested and charged Friday with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after she stabbed a male victim in the chest with a large kitchen knife, according to arrest reports.

Sopko was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $46,000 bail. She was not listed as a prisoner Wednesday.
