Police seeking suspects who caused thousands in damage

Police are seeking hte public's help to identify those responsible for a rash of rock throwing incidents that caused thousands in damage to homes and cars in a North Wall neighborhood overnight Wednesday.

In 11 separate incidents, windows of homes and vehicles were broken by rocks in the area of Gully Road, Danskin Road, McKinley Street, Johnson Street, Harrison Street and Grant Street. The spate of criminal mischief has caused thousands in damage, Sgt. Steven Wolter said.

Similar incidents were reported in January. Several surrounding towns in southern Monmouth County have also experienced similar problems. A dark colored SUV-type vehicle may be involved, Wolter said.
