Three Women Arrested for Prostitution

Wall Township Police make sweep of area motels

Three area women were arrested in recent weeks at Wall Township motels and charged with prostitution, police said Wednesday.

The women, who were arrested in separate incidents, all used the internet to advertise their services, Lt. Walter Pomphrey said.

April M. Flizack, 22, of Belmar, was arrested and charged with third degree promoting prostitution and one count of engaging in prostitution around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Village Motel on Route 35, Pomphrey said.

Casey Lynn Voto, 24, of Middletown, was arrested at the Budget Inn on Route 35 at 5 p.m. Aug. 23 and charged with one count of third degree promoting prostitution and one count of engaging in prostitution and one count of possession of syringes, Pomphrey said.

Voto was released with a court date, Pomphrey said.

Melanie T. Tucker, 26, of Middletown, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Budget Inn on Route 35 and charged with one count of third degree promoting prostitution and one count of engaging in prostitution, Pomphrey said.

Tucker was held in default of $6,000 bail with no 10 percent option on a Civil Contempt warrant issued out of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Department. She was taken to Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, Pomphrey said.

Detectives Chris Scerbo and Sean O’Halloran conducted the investigation and made the arrests, Pomphrey said.
