Township Police Arrest Four In Separate Incidents

Township police in three separate incidents arrested two for drunken driving and a pair on drug possession, police said.

A pair staying at the Travelodge Motel on Route 35 were charged with drug possession late Saturday night, according to a release from Sgt. Frank Lancellotti.

Daniel Tozzi III, 37, of Ocean Township, and Megan Stecz, 27, of Tinton Falls were arrested and charged with possession of  less than 50 grams of marijuana after officers served Tozzi with a Contempt of Court warrant from Ocean Township and Eatontown around 11:20 p.m., Stecz was charged and released, Lancellotti said.

Tozzi was charged and taken to the Monmouth County Jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of  $2,000 bail, according to jail records, Lancellotti said.

Patrolmen Todd Verrecchia and James Cadigan were the arresting officers, Lancellotti said.

 A 20-year-old Tinton Falls man was arrested and charged with drunken driving around 1:15 a.m. Saturday following a traffic stop on Route 18, Lancellotti said.

Erik Brown, was arrested and charged around 1:15 a.m. with driving while intoxicated by Patrolman James Cadigan. Brown was released to a friend pending a court date, Lancellotti said.

A Lakewood man was arrested and charged on Sunday with drunken driving after a traffic stop on Route 138, Lancellotti said.

Eduardo Jimenez-Daza, 20, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and for being an unlicensed driver around 1:50 a.m. by Patrolman James Cadigan, Lancellotti said.
