Township Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

Police arrest 20-year-old while responding to a report of a woman screaming

POLICE BRIEF: A 20-year-old township woman was arrested on drug charges after police responded to a report of a woman screaming in the West Belmar section of town, authorities said Wednesday.

Davita Locke was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled, dangerous substance around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release from Sgt. Frank Lancellotti.

Locke was charged and released with a court date. Patrolman Dan  Mason was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.
