Two Brick Residents Arrested Overnight Monday

Pair were found to have outstanding warrants, police said

Two Brick residents were arrested on outstanding warrants overnight, police said.

Susan Levash, 43, and Thomas Levash, 37, both of Brick were arrested around 11:49 p.m. Monday while crossing the  South Wall Interchange, a place that does normally not have pedestrian traffic, Sgt. Heath Bono said.

Susan Levash ran when officers arrived, but was caught a few hundred yards away, Bono said.  She was taken to Momouth County jail, Freehold Township, after being arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Monmouth County Sherriff’s Department. She was also charged with providing false information, Bono said.

Thomas Levash was turned over to Point Pleasant Borough Police when officers found he was wanted on warrants from that department, Bono said.

Also, Eugene McCray, 50, of Neptune was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and heroin possession following a traffic stop on Route 34, Bono said.
