Two Local Men Arrested On Drug Charges

Police arrest pair in separate incidents

Two local men in separate incidents were arrested on drug charges after traffic stops in the township, police said Tuesday.

A Neptune man was arrested following a traffic stop on Belmar Boulevard Monday, Sgt. Frank Lancellotti said.

William Crome III, 35, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana around 11 p.m., Lancellotti said.

Crome was charged and released with a court date. The arresting officer was Patrolman Todd Verrecchia, Lancellotti said.

Kevin M. Clancy Jr., 28, of Bradley Beach was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of prescription medication after being stopped on the request of Bradley Beach Police.

Clancy, who was wanted on a domestic violence incident in Bradley Beach, was charged and turned over to Bradley Beach Police to face subsequent charges there. Patrolman Todd Verrecchia was the arresting officer, Lancellotti said.
