Wall Man Jailed On Assault Charges

Man hit his son and his mother, according to arrest warrant

A Wall man was jailed Wednesday on assault charges after hitting a juvenile and his mother, according to arrest warrants.

Joseph E. MacDowell, 27, of New Bedford Road, was arrested and charged with a single count of assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child  after throwing a cup and hitting his son, a juvenile, and his mother, according to arrest warrants.

MacDowell was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $21,000 bail. He remained there Thursday, according to jail records.
