Man Stole Wawa’s Mascot, Wally Goose, In Wall

There's a goose on the loose and Wall police are trying to issuing an all points bulletin to tighten the noose.

The police department has released photos of a man wanted for questioning in the goose-napping, Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose. The mascot statue is described as being heavy, gold colored and approximately 16 inches tall.

Anyone who recognizes the man is being asked to contact Detective Christopher Lisewski at 732-449-8774 ext. 1140. They can also contact the Wall Township Police Department directly at 732-449-4500.

The man, seen in surveillance photos released Tuesday, took possession of the “wooden statue” from Wawa located at 1310 State Highway 34 on May 21, 2014.

The man is described as a white male and was wearing a light blue shirt at the time of the theft. He is believed to be in his twenties, with black hair. He was last seen leaving the area in a silver two door sedan type vehicle.

A reasonable person would not make such stupid comments in the first place. And just what is your "argument"??? That any crime you declare trivial should be pooh poohed by law enforcement? And no, I don't work for the Police dept. but I do live in town.

You're just one of the Wall sheep, man... Sure, it's wrong that this was stolen from them. And I agree that yeah, any town would look into it. But with the Wall Police, and the bloated resources they have for a town where little to nothing happens, they'll focus on this as though it's the murder of the century. Most towns wouldn't feel it necessary to dedicate a whole article depicting it as though it were something major and would deal with it privately, but that's Wall and that's the Wall Police for you. Why do you think the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office more or less completely bypassed Wall Police when dealing with the murder of Tierra Morgan-Glover? It's because Wall is known to have a misguided and laughable judiciary system

Ummm, they "bypassed" the Wall Police because the murder happened in on County property, so the County would investigate. The Park also sits partially in Neptune and Tinton Falls. Were they also "bypassed" because they are corrupt too? And remember something, the police just asked for help with anyone who might recognize the guy. The Patch ran the article, not the Police. And if seven (7) sentences is an "entire article" maybe you should move on to reading something a little more challenging, like Highlights for kids.

Clearly you don't get my point. I've got better things to do than argue with ignorance. Good day to you, sir.

Ignorance is bliss, so you must be one happy camper.
