Man Stole Wawa’s Mascot, Wally Goose, In Wall

There's a goose on the loose and Wall police are trying to issuing an all points bulletin to tighten the noose.

The police department has released photos of a man wanted for questioning in the goose-napping, Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose. The mascot statue is described as being heavy, gold colored and approximately 16 inches tall.

Anyone who recognizes the man is being asked to contact Detective Christopher Lisewski at 732-449-8774 ext. 1140. They can also contact the Wall Township Police Department directly at 732-449-4500.

The man, seen in surveillance photos released Tuesday, took possession of the “wooden statue” from Wawa located at 1310 State Highway 34 on May 21, 2014.

The man is described as a white male and was wearing a light blue shirt at the time of the theft. He is believed to be in his twenties, with black hair. He was last seen leaving the area in a silver two door sedan type vehicle.
