Wall Police Honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving

Three officers recognized at statewide ceremony

 

Three Wall Township police officers have been recognized at an awards ceremony held by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), police said Monday.

Wall Township Police Officers Jason Costantini, James Cadigan and Miles Shanklin attended the MADD awards ceremony at Middlesex County College on Friday morning. These officers were selected based on their drunken driving enforcement efforts, police said in a prepared statement.

MADD is an organization that works to stop drunken driving and supports victims and their families who have been affected by a drunken driving related incident. The awards ceremony included more than 100 police officers and New Jersey State Police from across the state.

From Jan. 1 to May 31, the Wall Township Police have made 92 drunken driving arrests, the statement says.

"Chief Robert Brice and the officers of the Wall Township police are committed to drunk driving enforcement," police said. "All efforts will be made by each officer to attempt to rid our roadways of drunken drivers through aggressive enforcement and high visibility of marked patrol units."
