A Wall Township student at William Paterson University was arrested and charged with trading child porn with others from his computer, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said in a release.
Andrew Maggs, 19, of Wall, was arrested Monday morning and charged with possession of child pornography.
Berdnik’s office received a complaint Oct. 22 that child pornography was being transferred online and originated from the university's campus.
Maggs admitted to “trading” child pornography with people online when sheriff’s personnel questioned him, Berdnik said.
Maggs' laptop computer was seized when he was arrested and the investigation “remains active" with additional charges possible pending further developments, Berdnik said.
