Here is a listing of recent Wall Township Police activity.

An arrest is not a conviction, and every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.

On Monday, August 18, at approximately 2:26 p.m., members of the Wall Township Police Department, Glendola Fire Department and Wall EMS responded to Meridian Sub-Acute and Rehab, 1725 Meridian Trail, for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival emergency responders found a garbage truck parked in the rear lot of the business with its rear container on fire. The investigation revealed that after picking up a load of cardboard the contents of the truck’s container ignited for an unknown reason. The fire was extinguished by the fire company and the vehicle was eventually towed from the scene. There were no resulting injuries from the fire or any other property damage. Patrolman Ian Hatch handled the investigation for the police department.

On Monday, August 18, at approximately 12:12 p.m., Tyreek Ashe, 26, of Wayne, was arrested by Patrolman Ian Hatch for Possession of Marijuana less than 50 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Hwy 138 and Bailey Rd. Mr. Ashe was processed, charged on a summons complaint and then released with a pending court date.

On Tuesday, August 19, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Sharron Torres, 37, of Freehold, was arrested for outstanding warrants from Cinnaminson and Camden by Patrolman Hunter Brockriede. In addition Ms. Torres was charged with hindering her own apprehension after she provided false information to Ptl. Brockriede. Ms. Torres was charged on a warrant complaint and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of bail.

On Tuesday, August 19, at approximately 1:28 p.m., Dwayne Castiglione, 38, of Adelphia, was arrested for Possession of Hypodermic Needles by Patrolman Eric Jennings subsequent to a suspicious person call on Hwy 71. Mr. Castiglione was processed, charged on a summons complaint and then released with a pending court date.
