Wall Woman Arrested On Shoplifting Charges

Township woman also found to have drugs and an outstanding warrant

A township woman was arrested and charged with shoplifting from a Route 35 store Thursday, police said.

Cheryl J. Soto, 38, was charged with shoplifting from the Kmart store around 7:30 p.m. by Patrolman Mike Malone, Sgt. Frank Lancelotti said.

Soto was additionally charged with possession of a controlled, dangerous substance and for an outstanding warrant for nonpayment of child support, Lancellotti said.

She was taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $15,456, according to jail records.
